AIMday Anti-infective Medicine & Diagnostics 2016

24 November 08:30 - 24 November 15:30

Increasing resistance of pathogens (e.g. bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) to anti-infective drugs is an urgent public health problem that must be addressed in many ways; new drugs, better diagnostics and more prudent use of available drugs. AIMday Anti-infective Medicine & Diagnostics is a meeting focused on bringing academic researchers, clinicians, authorities and company representatives together for discussions on this important subject. The meeting will cover all areas – from basic science and development of new drugs and diagnostics to proper usage of anti-infectives.

Altogether, more than 170 industry representatives and 450 academic scientists have participated in over 150 workshop discussions in previous years AIMday meetings within the life science area. We hope that the first AIMday Anti-infective Medicine & Diagnostics will attract both new and former participants for fruitful discussions and be just as successful as previous AIMdays in bringing understanding and new perspectives to challenges in industry and by authorities, and in creating opportunities for long-lasting collaborations.
