BIO-PUB: Export or die! For life science ventures that means internationalisation

28 May 18:00 - 28 May 21:00

Any Swedish-based business needs a strong international outlook if it is to flourish. That often meant exporting boatloads of cars or forest products. But in the life sciences, the situation is more subtle. International expertise, networks, synergies and practical collaborations are the new keys to success. And the good news is that interest in Swedish life science is growing all the time. We just need to reach out and grasp it. On May 28th you have an opportunity to meet four people uniquely qualified to help you build productive international relations both in the UK and elsewhere.

The programme, moderated by Andrew Hennigan:

Chris Howie from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Stockholm will tell us about how they can help companies bring their high-quality investment to the UK’s dynamic economy. UKTI offers expertise and contacts through its extensive network of specialists in the UK, and in British embassies and other diplomatic offices around the world.

Tony Jones, Director of Business Development at the British cluster organisation One Nucleus will discuss how to engage with the UK and explain which events and networks are most suitable for Swedish life science companies.

Mike Ward, Global Director of Content at Scrip Intelligence will discuss the key conditions needed to create a strong R&D environment as well as the particular synergies between the UK and Sweden. Current trends and international relations within life science will also be addressed.

After the programme, held in English, there will be plenty of time for networking and refreshments.
