Autumn's first BIO-PUB held October 6 in the Psychiatric Unit at the University Hospital. Come and discover the Uppsala Clinical Research Center, UCR, a broad resource for clinical research regionally, in Sweden and internationally.
During BIO-PUB, we will get to know more about from clinical trials to register studies and how both large and small life science companies and researchers can benefit from UCRS expertise and services.
UCR is the largest ARO (Academic Research Organization) and during the evening, representatives of the UCR will present the three branches:
• Clinical research - a world leader in the development of innovative clinical research methodology
• Health care regusters - the Swedish "gold mine"
• Biobank and lab - first biobank in Sweden to develop healthcare integrated biobanking (the collection of biomaterials).
Thereafter, Stefan James, head of research at UCR and professor and consultant in cardiology will present research projects where UCR's work has direct impact on the quality of care and resulted in improved public health.
At the subsequent mingling you have the opportunity to meet representatives of the UCR and learn even more about how you and your organization can benefit from UCRS services. Additionally, the evening as usual a great opportunity to meet new and old contacts in life science in the region. Take the opportunity to see the beautiful Psychiatric Unit, broaden your horizons and expand your network of contacts!
