Breakfast seminar: Innovations for New Karolinska Solna University Hospital

How do Innovationsplatsen create collaborations between industry and the new hospital? New Karolinska Solna will conduct the most advanced healthcare for the most ill and injured patients, as well as basic research, clinical reserach and education. Increased collaboration between healthcare and research ensure that novel research results benefit the patient faster.

Collaboration between healthcare, research and industry is crucial to meet the demands that healthcare faces. Innovationsplatsen is the point of entry to collaboration between industry, academia and healthcare. In the procurements for New Karolinska Solna, a number of Innovation Partnerships have been signed, with Philips and Olympus among others.
 
Listen to Stefan Vlachos, Head of operations at Innovationsplatsen, talk about Innovationsplatsen and the idea with the Innovation Partnerships. Stefan is responsible for the innovation partnerships with industry partners, and to drive innovation with them at the hospital. With an MBA from INSEAD and experience from the private sector, he has extensive knowledge from developing and implementing strategies for development, change and innovation, both from a business development and from a technical point of view.
