How can we use AI within healthcare? Focus: Natural Language Processing Challenge

28 April 13:00 - 28 April 15:00

Computers able to read and write - how can this create value within healthcare? How can the potential that technology has to offer address clinical needs? On April 28th The Center for Innovation at Karolinska University Hospital hosts an open discussion focusing on Natural Language Processing.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a field of AI (artificial intelligence), specializing in programming computers to fruitfully interpret large sets of natural language text and, from this text, draw conclusions, structure data and even generate new texts.

How could this benefit healthcare? What needs can be addressed using NLP? We want to explore this in a seminar where clinical insights and ideas can challenge the potential technology has to offer.

A representative from the Division of Pathology, Karolinska University Hospital shares a clinical perspective on the need for NLP within healthcare followed by Microsoft, Xerox, HPE, SAS Institute, as well as Gavagai presenting the their NLP platforms and the specialized abilities they have to offer.

The second half of the seminar consist of mingling and open discussions, exchanging thoughts and ideas.

Presenters: Microsoft, Xerox, HPE, SAS Institute, Gavagai and Karolinska University Hospital.

Welcome!
