Hagastaden – a science city for life and health

15 February 07:30 - 15 February 09:00

Ten years ago, decisions were made on a vision of how the city district today called Hagastaden would be developed until 2025. Much has happened since then, and now the first evidence shows that we are on the right track to achieve the vision of a living place with residential areas, trade, culture, park areas and at the same time being a knowledge hub for life science with a high concentration of research and entrepreneurship.

By 2025, Hagastaden, in addition to a modern university hospital and a prestigious university, will consist of 50,000 workplaces and 6000 new homes. How will the neighborhood grow up in the coming years? What is being done for Hagastaden to become a living district with city pulse? What steps are taken to create conditions for research and innovation that will provide tomorrow's healthcare and improve health? We will talk more about this with the speakers this morning.

Speakers this morningYlva Williams, CEO Stockholm Science CityStefan Vlachos, Head of Operations Innovationsplatsen, Karolinska University Hospital/ SLLBjörn Sjöstrand, CEO Scandinavian BiopharmaBirgitta Karlnernäs, General Manager, Elite Hotel Carolina Tower
