On October 15 Springer Nature Group will host a international careers event – Careers Live - for scientists in London. Now in its 15th year, the event brings together exhibitors from academic institutions and scientific companies to network and interview enthusiastic delegates looking to develop their careers.
It’s a free, one-day event where delegates can spend the day discussing live job roles, getting career advice and news and having a one-to-one session to have their CV checked by an expert. We also arrange a series of speakers on a myriad of career-related topics such as creating a great CV for industry roles, achieving work-life balance in the lab and working in science communication. Exhibitors can also take the opportunity to moderate their own workshops and roundtable discussions throughout the day on total particular to their institution or region.
As most of the delegates are at pivotal points in their careers they are open-minded about the opportunities available and hearing about working practices in different countries - which makes for many exciting and inspirational conversations.
