The innovation system in Stockholm is vast and could be seen as complex with a large number of actors. The system is not like a puzzle with clear bounds, instead there are natural overlaps. The hub consists of the universities, the healthcare and the companies. Stockholm Science City commissioned Arthur D. Little to carry out an analysis of the innovation system. Their report is based on several in-depth interviews conducted by Arthur D Little to identify where there are gaps in the life science innovation system. The purpose of the analysis was to see which gaps are relevant for Stockholm Science City to address, based on the Foundation's statutes.
