Better guidelines and coordination of requirements for digital products and services in healthcare

In September 2018, the project Coordinated Implementation of Digital Products and Services launches its first report, ”Tydligare spelregler och samordning av krav – Rekommendationer till nytta för patient, vård och företag”. The report describes the challenges of county councils, regions and companies in procuring, evaluating and introducing digital services in healthcare, focusing on digital services targeted to patients for prescribed self-care. With inspiration from international initiatives in England and Denmark, a model is presented for how Sweden, through coordination and guidelines, can better utilize the potential of digitization.

Stockholm Science City, UppsalaBIO, Norrbotten County Council and Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKL) collaborate in the project Coordinated Implementation of Digital Products and Services. The project parties are looking to develop and evaluate a suggestion for a national process for validating and implementing digital products and services.
