Karolinska Institutet and the American Headquarter of MSD have come to a long-term collaborative agreement. The focus of the collaboration is utilization of real world evidence, and may also include clinical studies. The overall goal is to address clinically important research questions and to describe patient management in order to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
This collaboration will constitute a significant intellectual knowledgebase as well as international investment to Swedish life science. During the first year the total investment will amount to 10 million SEK. To celebrate this agreement, MSD arranges an inaugutation ceremony on November 21st. The ceremony will be held at the MSD office in Stockholm. The participants have the opportunity to learn more about the collaboration and to meet leading scientists and actors from within the collaboration.
Further celebrations will take place at the American Embassy on the morning of November 22nd, where the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy Mr. David Lindwall is going to elaborate on the prosperous business connections between USA and Sweden and the great opportunities that this collaboration provides for Swedish life science.
