The Stockholm-Uppsala region is Sweden's largest life science cluster, gathering half of the industry within life science, five universities and healthcare for almost three million people. Stockholm Science City's fact report shows that the cluster stands strong both in a national and an international perspective. The main features of the compilation are now summarized.
From an international perspective, Sweden is often ranked top ten in rankings with a wide range of scopes such as environment, equality, competitiveness, innovation and health. The fact that it is also relative stable over time indicates that Sweden has a strong position globally. Even when the top ten European biotech / pharma clusters are ranked, Sweden ends up among the top ten. We have compiled a fact report based on data from different sources. Focus is on life science including healthcare.
