Today, about 7 percent of the journeys in the county are by bike. The goal is to increase that figure to 20 percent by 2030. In order to enable increased cycling and develop a coherent regional infrastructure for biking - where universities, workplaces, public transport nodes and residential areas are connected - we have established a regional Bicycle Office. The Bicycle Office is the first of its kind in Sweden and is located in the Growth and Regional Planning Administration (TRF) at Region Stockholm.
