Brains and Beer is a pub forum for people within life science in Hagastaden. The first meeting took place on November 19 at restaurant Station at Norra Stationsgatan. Atrium Ljungberg was the host of the evening and took the opportunity to tell more about their property development in Hagastaden.
– The last couple of years, we have made a major effort to recruit life science companies and create a place where people can meet and where unexpected things can happen, said Micael Averborg, head of Transaction & Market at Atrium Ljungberg.

CEO of the pharma company MSD, Jakob Tellgren, was at Brains and Beer and shared their strategic descision to move their office to Hagastaden in March next year:

– This is one of the most important places for people within life science, he stated.

The pub evening gathered some 75 persons, among them M.D. Ingrid Edsman from Edsman Medical Writing who was very positive to the inititative:

– All events in Hagastaden are exciting and always have interesting content. Also, it is always fun to meet like-minded people.

Peter Johansson, head of marketing at Atrium Ljungberg finished off with a parallell between "Gnosjöandan" - the entrepreneurial spirit of Gnosjö - and Hagastaden:

– Buildings do not define a life science cluster. Companies, research, education, capital and a place where people get a chance to meet and cooperate makes the cluster!
