The future of the clinical research at Karolinska University Hospital is bright. I will be honest; we face a number of challenges as we are currently in the midst of the largest changes in Karolinska's 88-year history. Nevertheless, those of us who work with the development of Karolinska on a daily basis see the light in the tunnel. Stockholm County Council has made extensive investments and historically large investments in infrastructure for both future care and clinical research.
