“I look forward to hearing about how companies in Hagastaden are developing.”
– By designing funding calls and procurement processes for support services from innovation organisations, I helped companies access funding, advice and networks on their path to market, she explains.
Report on company development in Hagastaden
One of Ida's current assignments is to produce a report exploring how Hagastaden, as a life science innovation district, contributes to company development. Stockholm Science City is collaborating with Karolinska Institutet Innovation on the project.
– We want to understand how companies experience being based in Hagastaden and how proximity to other organisations, expertise and infrastructure influences their development at different stages, says Ida.
The report will be based on a survey and interviews with companies that have either emerged in Hagastaden or chosen to establish themselves there. These will be complemented by insights from key stakeholders, both within and outside the life science sector. The report is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
– I look forward to hearing how companies in Hagastaden have developed. It's a unique innovation district that has taken shape in a relatively short time, bringing together a wide range of organisations in one place. In my previous role, I helped companies access support, but I've never been part of an environment like this. I'm curious to see how collaboration works in practice and what it means for companies' opportunities to develop, she explains.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
– What I enjoy most is exploring the life science sector. It's a new field for me, with many exciting challenges and opportunities. I love "getting stuck" into a topic, exploring it in depth and learning more. I also work with experienced colleagues whom I learn from every day.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
– I play football in a women's team and love cooking Asian food – the more flavour and heat, the better! I also enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors, hiking and picking mushrooms. When I'm not chasing a football, you'll often find me with my nose in a book.
What's your favourite place in Hagastaden?
– There's still plenty of Hagastaden left for me to explore, and I'm looking forward to discovering more. So far, Haga Bottega is a favourite, with great food, a welcoming atmosphere and a lively buzz. It's a place where you really get a feel for the area's diverse mix of people and businesses.
