Hagastaden's new meeting point Life City has opened!

After three years of construction, we were finally able to open the doors to Life City, a new meeting point in Hagastaden. Mikael Wilhelmsson, Business Developer at Atrium Ljungberg, tells us more about the opening.

Last year, Stockholm Science City published a report entitled Where is Life Science Heading in the Future? where it is shown how the healthcare in future will be more preventive and individualized. During 2018, we arrange a series of panel discussions, with the report as starting point, highlighting current topics with focus on technology that drives change. Next panel discussion is on May 29.

Come and meet Stockholm Science City at Järvaveckan. Together with Kista Science City we arrange a photo contest during the spring 2018 to promote and raise awareness of the talent, curiosity and creativity in neighborhoods with great potential to contribute to Swedens’s future. An initiative to increase interest in technology and science among youths from families with low educational background and thereby increase diversity in higher education.

Human capabilities increasingly important in our digital society

During 2017, Stockholm Science City arrange a seminar series on the topic artificial intelligence in health. On August 31, Karim Jebari from the Institute for Futures Studies participated on stage and we took the opportunity to talk with him afterwards about how he thinks that human capabilities and characteristics such as creativity and compassion will be valued in our increasingly data and AI controlled society.

In the report Where is life science heading in the future?  by Stockholm Science City, the future of healthcare is said to be predictive, preventive, participatory and personalized.
